About census tracts
Census tracts are small statistical subdivisions of a county, averaging about 4,000 residents, roughly a neighborhood in a city. Most American Community Survey data is published at the tract level; some is also available for the smaller block groups inside each tract.
Each tract's page compares its demographics against national averages and links the neighboring tracts around it.
