BlockAtlas

Thanks for trying out BlockAtlas! This is an experimental project intended to make it easier to search the US Census with the help of a Large Language Model. It's in the early stages of development, so please be patient and expect hiccups.

Usage Notes

- Always validate the data returned by this plugin if you're doing anything important
- Make sure you are using variables that actually measure what you think they measure
- The chat plugin currently only supports searching for data for a state, a county, or the entire US. The map supports zip codes, tracts, and block groups as well, but these are not yet supported in the chat plugin. For now, you can use the chat plugin to search for the surrounding county of the zip/tract/block_group you're interested in, and then zoom in via the map.
- To get better results, be as specific as possible in your query. Instead of e.g. "education statistics", search for the specific information you want ("percent of population with a bachelors, masters or PHD")

Legal / Privacy

BlockAtlas is provided "as is", and your use of it is at your own risk. There may be errors and omissions in the data provided by this application.
When queries are sent to the BlockAtlas API, the the search parameters (e.g. the query "median income") are logged and retained by the server, and may be used to improve BlockAtlas. Cloudflare Analytics are used on the website to track usage. Other information - Users' IP address, etc., is not retained by BlockAtlas.
